All Aboard! The World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour Steams Into the I-X Center!
World’s largest train show opens to the public exclusively on January 4th & 5th, 2014
Cleveland, OH - The World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour will be returning to the I-X center in Cleveland for the first time since 2009. The show travels around the country to a few select cities with strong railroading ties each year in order to introduce new generations to model railroading and typically won’t return for another 5-10 years. Very few hobbies can involve the whole family in a way model railroading can. The hobby is typically passed from one generation to another and can be enjoyed year round.
The World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour will be bringing together local train shops, railroad clubs and manufacturers from around the country to this unique event. There is a little something for everyone. There are hands on displays where people can run trains. The Bachmann Theater gives live presentations on all sorts of beginner model railroad topics. Kids can enjoy free train rides on Thomas the Tank Engine, or visit the Thomas the Tank Engine Playland and play with Thomas the Tank Engine Trains. Everyone can learn about model trains and see some of the best model railroad layouts in the country. Also, for the first time ever Choo Choo Bob and Engineer Emily from the railroad themed children’s program the Choo Choo Bob Show, will be appearing at the World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour Train Show. They will be on hand to provide railroad entertainment and sing songs from their show. www.choochoobobs.com
