The I-X Indoor Amusement Park Celebrates 25 years as Northeast Ohio’s Favorite Spring Break Destination

( Cleveland, OH) The I-X Indoor Amusement Park, presented by Marc's, returns March 21 - April 20, 2014, to the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio! This annual springtime event offers a full day of smiles, thrills and family fun, all at a budget-friendly price.

Great news - prices dropped in 2013 and remain at reduced prices for 2014 making the I-X Indoor Amusement Park one of the best entertainment values around! And, there is more fun to be had this year as the I-X Indoor Amusement Park is open more days and more hours to make the most of spring break in Northeast Ohio. This is a great opportunity to blow off some steam, get the kids out of the house, enjoy a funnel cake and make some great memories!

25th Anniversary Grand Opening Celebration, Presented by Dave & Buster’s . The grand opening kicks off with an opening ceremony March 21st at 2:45pm followed by a celebration at 5:00pm at the Ferris wheel where attendees will have an opportunity to win hundreds of prizes. “In addition to all the fun and prizes at the grand opening celebration, we are pleased to bring back value pricing and offer the wide variety of rides and quality entertainment that has become the park’s trademark for two and a half decades. This 25th anniversary of the I-X Indoor Amusement park is sure to provide a fun filled day for the entire family,” said, Rob Attewell, Show Manager. “As the north coast’s spring break destination, this event affords visitors the opportunity to SAVE money while enjoying their favorite rides and entertainment.”

OVER 100 RIDES & ATTRACTIONS - Guests will be able to choose from over 100 Rides and Attractions. New rides this year include the Frenzy (A Giant Swing Arm Ride), 1001 Nachts (An 80’ Gondola Ride), Himalaya (Exciting track car ride patterned after the original caterpillar rides of Germany), Wet Boats (Kiddie Water Ride) & Re-Mix (A high action multiple circular plane rotating ride).

Additionally, two of the most popular rides are back from 2013! Guests will fly like an eagle on the Soaring Eagle Zipline. This thrilling ride takes a pair of riders on a journey 70’ in the air high over the I-X Indoor Amusement Park. What a great view! Or perhaps you are looking to satisfy your aquatic side. Check out the 58,000 gallon White Water Ride. The White Water Ride is the perfect place for families and friends to travel through soggy turns and plunge down a hill into the “splash zone!” These wet and thrilling rides are both included in the price of admission.

GREAT FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT – ZUZU ACROBATS, MUTTS GONE NUTZ & ROBERTO THE MAGNIFICENT! New this year are the ZuZu Acrobats, hailing all the way from Mombasa, Kenya! These incredible African acrobats have been on NBC TV’s America’s Got Talent, National late night talk shows and even performed at the Superbowl. The acrobats present a unique blend of fast pyramid building, limbo, contortion, bottle balancing, tumbling and more. Mutts Gone Nuts offers a great variety of daily entertainment. A hilarious combination of canines and comedy will charm you as these lovable mutts perform an array of tricks – usually on their owners! Roberto the Magnificent brings his comedy stunt show back with more animation and skill than ever before! Watch as he juggles, balances, and performs jaw-dropping tricks while joking and interacting with the audience.

The I-X Center is filled with 20 acres of rides that will whirl and twirl patrons big and small, from the biggest dare-devils to pint-sized riders!

Mountain Dew Thrill City brings on the speed with rides that flip, rotate, drop, spin, and fly. Fan favorite Freakout swings riders up to 70 feet high and guarantees to churn out the screams. The exciting Himalaya track car ride dazzles the daring with a caterpillar style ride and unexpected speed – be sure to have friends to hang on to! Mega Bounce does just that, spinning riders while giving them jolts of fun! The Frenzy may look like just another giant swing ride, but don’t be fooled – this one takes you a good 90 feet in the air! Want to get a good scream out of your friends? Climb up into the classic Zipper and flip around as you rotate through the air!

Kidzville is a dedicated children’s area that features over 25 rides and a petting zoo perfect for kids. The 3D Mystery Manor offers a fun and not-too-scary experience that children of all ages will enjoy (a nominal fee is required for children, but parents are always free!). The whole family can explore the nooks and crannies and the dizzying fun in the 3D Vortex Tunnel while watching out for friendly ghosts! Moms and Dads will find they can join in on some of the traditional rides too, including the State Fair Slide, Dizzy Dragons, Merry-Go-Round, I-X Center Ferris Wheel, and many more.

North Coast Cheer Championships and RDMA National Tour Stop featured March 23rd. The North Coast Cheer Championships will feature teams from all over the Midwest in a variety of age groups all performing at the main stage. RDMA tour stop includes games, prizes and a full celebrity concert lineup from 1:00 to 7:00pm including appearances from Alex Angelo, Megan Nicole and Before You Exit.

Christian Jam Weekend presented by 95.5 The Fish and Praise Nation Productions , will showcase over 30 Christian performers from all over the Midwest on April 5th & 6th. Christian contemporary music takes center stage on Saturday April 5th featuring local Christian performers and national acclaimed feature artists “1 Girl Nation” & “Unspoken.” Sunday, April 6th, features a Gospel Explosion with a day of Gospel artists, live bands, mega choirs, singers, praise dancers, flag worship and more!

La Fiesta Latina , presented by Julia de Burgos Cultural Center and Latinocleveland.com, celebrates its 10th anniversary April 12th & 13th. The very best of Hispanic heritage and culture featuring national and local acts, dance, food, arts and entertainment are all part of the event highlights for patrons to enjoy. National acts featured this year include Lefty Perez on Saturday, April 12th, and Jowell & Randy on Sunday, April 13th.
